British Independent Film Awards 2017: 19th Annual Nominations

The nominations for the 19th Annual British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) have been announced. The 2017 British Independent Film Awards is an “[organization] that celebrates, supports and promotes British independent cinema and [film-making] talent.”

Lady Macbeth lead the British Independent Film Awards nominations this year with fifteen nominations. Like Winter’s Bone was Jennifer Lawrence‘s break-through role, Lady Macbeth may be the same for Florence Pugh.

Receiving thirteen nominations each were The Death Of Stalin and I Am Not A Witch.

Like The Death Of Stalin, from its trailer, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri looks absolutely hysterical. It deserved all of the eleven nominations that it has garnered.

The Florida Project and The Square have been getting rave reviews on the film festival circuit and will have the most attention of the films in the International category.
